A Pennsic Packing List
You may not need everything on this list...but then again, you may see some things you hadn't considered, or had completely forgotten.
Must-haves
- Photo ID
- Cash
- Credit/ATM card and/or checkbook
- Confirmation message (if pre-registered)
- SCA Membership card (for discount at gate)
- Insurance card
- Medic alert card/bracelet
- Prescription medications (if applicable)
- Proof of insurance for vehicle (never leave home without it!)
Clothing
- Garb for each day (remember: nights get cool, days can vary widely in temperature; don't forget your fancy garb!)
- Sleeping clothes
- Underwear (bring extras)
- Socks (bring extras)
- Shoes (make sure they're broken in)
- Rain Gear (poncho, rain shoes, umbrella, etc.)
- Cloak
- Headgear (veils, hats, circlets, hoods)
- Jewelry (medallions, cloak clasps, pilgrim badges, necklaces,etc.)
- Dress weapons
- Belt(s)
- Pouch or satchel
- At least one set dry modern clothes to keep in car
- Laundry detergent (if you plan to wash clothes while atPennsic)
- Bag for dirty laundry
- Small sewing kit (thread, needles, pins, scissors for emergencyrepairs)
Camping Gear
- Tent (including stakes, poles, ropes, etc.)
- Rubber mallet or hammer
- Tarps/ground cover
- Tiki torches and fuel
- Fire extinguisher and/or fire buckets
- Sun shade
- Chairs
- Other tent furnishings
- Sleeping bag or bedding
- Pillow
- Air mattress/padded mat/futon
- Air pump
- Bed frame/camp cot/rope bed
- Candle lantern/flashlight
- Waterproof containers
- Banners, rope flags, sheet walls, etc.
- Solar shower bags
- Shovel (for firepit-digging)
- Small garbage bags (plastic bags from the supermarket work great)
- Kitchen
- Pots and pans
- Cooking tripod
- Camp stove (and fuel)

- Lighter and/or matches in waterproof container

- Oven mitt/potholders
- Plates, cups, eating utensils
- Disinfectant/bleach
- Dishpan

- Toilet paper (you never know....)
War Gear
- Armor (including shoes, repair kit with duct tape, rivets,hammer, mini-anvil, blue foam, etc.) and protective cup
- Rattan weapons
- Shield
- Fencing gear (including doublets, pants, boots or shoes, protectivegear, mask, gloves)
- Rapiers and parry weapons (including spare tips, tape, etc.)
- Bow (including string, wax, etc.) and arrows
- Shooting accessories (finger tabs, bracers, quiver, cushion,etc.)
- Authorization cards
- Boffer equipment for youth
....Things to consider
- Materials and handouts (if you're teaching a class)
- A&S project for the A&S display
- Satchel or bag for everyday use and shopping
- Small notebook and pen for making notes in classes, exchanging info,etc.
- Pre-paid phone cards or cell phone (remember: you may not be able to easily recharge your batteries!)
- Thermos (for hot coffee or cool water)
- Snack foods: trail mix, jerky, etc.
- Wagon (for hauling ice and young ones)
- Folding fan or battery-operated mini-fan
- Alarm clock
- Camera (don't forget the film/memory sticks, and check thosebatteries!)
- Craft tools (embroidery supplies, calligraphy pens, knitting needles, inkle looms, etc)
- Musical instruments
- Small basin or inflatable pool (to cool off your feet after a longday)
