Merriment filled the dance pavilion Tuesday night as the Blue Feather Ball returned to Pennsic.

Originally a gathering of Clan Blue Feather, the ball has grown and now welcomes all manner of folk.

Æthelmearc defends its house, wins castle

For the first time in recent memory, the armies of the East and Midrealm united against a common foe. The two belligerent nations joined forces to storm the Pennsic Fort against the forces of Æthelmearc, which were determined to hold defend their home turf in the Castle Battle.

According to HRM Malcolm of Æthelmearc, his Kingdom had secured aid from Atlantia, Clovenshield, Black Talon and others to help defend the castle.

Mayor: Chirurgeons overstepping certifications reason for change at Point

The questions were pointed and sometimes angry, and the responses did not always satisfy the crowd, but tempers remained largely in check during an hour-long public meeting held Wednesday afternoon by Pennsic 35 Mayor Baroness Brise Sanguin, OP, outside the First Aid Pavilion, formerly Chirurgeon’s Point.

And in response to the foremost question on the minds of many there– exactly what had transpired to cause the mayor to turn over operation of the Point to NorthWest EMS – though Mayor Brise remained unspecific on the details, citing privacy issues, she did say that some chirurgeons at the War had “exceeded [the] authority” of their mundane first aid certifications, which had given her “grave concerns” and led to the action.

“We had gotten to the point it wasn’t one or two people,” she said.

Youth Exhibit Products of their Talents

The young artisans and artists of the Known World had the opportunity to display their work Tuesday morning at the premier Youth A&S Exhibition held at Youth Point.

Inspiration for the event came from Lord Valdis of the Kingdom of the East.

One of Pennsic’s most entertaining novelty tournaments was featured Tuesday as the annual Dwarves vs.

Pennsic 35 Mayor Baroness Brise Sanguin, OP, issued a written statement late Tuesday night that confirms that she alone made the decision to place operation of Chirurgeon’s Point under the supervision of NorthWest EMS, as well as dismisses a number of rumors that have been circulating about the change.
